Voies Urbaines

Voies Urbaines

This evening at 6:45pm – ‘Voies Urbaines: Rue Mespoul’ by Mathias Guilbaud.

In this sonic reflection, we are drawn into a shifting relationship with a construction site—a former hospital being transformed into housing for the elderly. Over months of listening, recording, and sensing, Guilbaud reimagines the site not as debris or noise, but as a living entity. Through the manipulation of urban and construction sounds, the piece evokes a space that breathes, reclaims voice, and transcends its original form. Empty buildings stir to life, echoes paint their own narrative, and hidden stories emerge from beneath the rubble. A personal and auditory autopsy of a transforming place.
