Sonic Lamp

Today at 2pm — Sonic Lamp by Amble Skuse, a haunting data-driven sound work commissioned by Cryptic for the Sonica Festival.

Built from interviews and archival material from medics in the armed forces—spanning WWI to the present—the piece has no beginning or end. Each minute maps a year of service, with heartbeat rhythms and rain intensities shaped by death tolls. A chance to listen and reflect on memory, loss, and the unseen labour of care.
