A wobbly-sounding piano falls into the pages of a book, which morphs into an empty drinks can, which turns into a kettle. Or is it a drum kit? Is that rain, a radio, sticky tape, or tin foil? What’s behind that door? What’s down that drain? How do you get a lion out of a cardboard box? And, where did the bee come from?!
Radiophrenia spent a week in August 2026 with a group of sound-obsessed, creative young people at SWAMP. Equipped only with microphones, headphones, a sense of curiosity and wonder, we set off around the building on Glasgow’s Brockburn Road. This is what we found…
