Amber Meulenijzer – Cavities Episode 1
Tuesday, 15 September⋅11:00 – 11:15am
At 11am we begin a new 4-part series of short works by Brussels based sound artist Amber Meulenijzer. Her work investigates the relation between space and sound, using a variety of methods including field recording, horn speakers, various synthesizers and sometimes her old Saab 900.
The series presents recordings made in cavities in a variety of locations utilising microphones and horn speakers to caress the threshold of acoustic feedback, revealing the architecture of these spaces, sketching their outlines and amplifying their voice.
Further episodes of ‘Cavities’ can be heard at 11am tomorrow, Thursday and Friday.
