Carla Boregas – Zona Morta: Wie fasst man ein Echo in Worte?
Sunday, 6 September⋅3:00 – 3:45pm
This afternoon at 3pm – Brazilian musician, composer and sound artist, Carla Boregas has collected audio recordings from over 70 women of different nationalities and age groups telling their secrets.
When women have secrets, social pressure often plays a role. The stories they need to hide can be similar all over the world: family problems, abortion, sexual abuse, relationships, intimacy worries.
Reflecting on the question “Can a woman’s voice telling a secret resonate with other voices?”, she played the secrets archive to singers Audrey Chen, Anjeline de Dios, Cansu Tanrikulu, and Paola Ribeiro. Carla Boregas then assembled their improvised reactions into the composition ‘Zona Morta – Wie fasst man ein Echo in Worte?’
