Jérémy Chevalier – There’s nothing left to do but danse!

At 10 am this morning – French, Geneva based artist Jérémy Chevalier takes his specially adapted microphone shoes for a walk in ‘There’s nothing left to do but danse!’
Microphone capsules were placed beneath the artist’s shoes so that each step became a recording. Every movement leaves a trace, whether intended or not. Walking becomes an act of inscription, engraving a sonic imprint into the ground. Situated somewhere between a soundwalk and a field recording, the project reflects on the ways people inhabit the world by gently crushing it, step by step.
